How about a little diversion?
I have been cracking up all morning over this meme that I found over on the Allsorts blog page. Here's how to play... just do a Google search of the phrase "unfortunately, _______" but put your first name in the blank (be sure to enclose it all in quotation marks). The resultant phrases are hilarious if you have a slightly twisted sense of humor and an appreciation for random absurdity.
Some examples...
Unfortunately, Zoe misunderstood and thought she really was moving in . . .
Unfortunately Zoƫ accidentally broke her pet egg, Eggward.
unfortunately, Zoe’s world seems to have more lessons in it than adventures.
Unfortunately Zoe will be too tall for the Olympic Gymnastic team in 4 years.
Unfortunately, Zoe demolished this toy in a matter of hours. Good work, Zoe!
Unfortunately, Zoe's hair is now so long and tangled that she can't move! ...
Unfortunately, Zoe had a problem: she was standing in the fifth line to the parade.
If you are four years old, that means that all you can see is other peoples rear ends.
Unfortunately Zoe got carried away with us having the beach all to ourselves and decided to go skinny dipping
Unfortunately Zoe is not as perfect as her pic may seem. The other day she learned how to open cupboards, more specifically the baking cupboard, and tore open a bag of flour. She ended up eating a stick of lard, a bag of raisins, and a bag of FLOUR.
Unfortunately, Zoe was more than just clumsy, she was all over the place and had absolutely no rhythm whatsoever.
Unfortunately, Zoe still doesn’t want to talk to anyone over the phone, except on really good days when she would agree to mutter a few sentences
Go ahead, try it! If you decide to play along leave your favorite result in a comment, and a link back to your blog if you like. Or do it on your facebook as a note, whatever!

The Simple Woman's Daybook

~*~*~*~*~
FOR TODAY Monday 2nd March 2009...
Outside my window...
It's a fairly boring spring day, a bit of cloud and bit of breeze, no sun to speak of but not particularly cold or wet either.
I am thinking...
About how excited I am to have just had an email booking some assemblies in local schools! YEAH! This is the big push to see if we really can get a schools ministry started from our church and this morning I got the first booking email. More letters go out today and next week, so this could be the start of something big.
I am thankful for...
My free bus pass, because until I get my driving licence back (it was revoked because I have sleep apnoea) it's my main means of getting around in the week. And I don't have to find the money every time I want to go somewhere, I just jump on the bus and show my pass.
From the learning rooms...
I am learning the hard way not to start a crockpot meal if there is not time to finish it. We wasted a whole pork joint yesterday because it wasn't done in time for dinner, and we decided to let it finish cooking then put it in the fridge when it was cooled. Well, both of us got caught up in other things and forgot to remove the meat from the crockpot before bed. Ooops! that'll have to go in the bin then!
From the kitchen...
So today's dinner will probably be either steak with jacket spuds or spicy mince with rice and spinach! Depends on how far gone the bag of spinach is really.
I am wearing...
Blue jeans with a summery t-shirt.
I am creating...
Some cartoons, I am learning to do a bit of cartooning, not brilliant at it, but not bad either.
I am going...
to stay in for the rest of today, but might be going to a different small group than usual tomorrow night since ours is off and someone else said we could go to theirs.
I am reading...
School Assembly books, although I would like to re read either the Shack, Ragamuffin Gospel OR The father You've been waiting for, sometime soon.
I am hoping...
For some lovely spring weather in the coming weeks. I could do with cheering up. I am also hoping I can get back into routine with my CPAP machine. I've had a nasty cold virus for the last week and it has really knocked down the length of time I've been able to stick to my CPAP machine.
I am hearing...
Nothing but the very slight buzz of the computer, isn't that wonderful!
Around the house...
There is definitely lots to be done, especially with me having come home off a weekend a way to a week on the sofa with this stupid cold!
I really need to catch up on laundry AND get the stairs vacuumed.
One of my favourite things...
One of my most favourite things of the last couple of weeks was going to see Zorro at the Garrick Theatre in London's West End.
The guy who plays the lead role is amazing! Awesome! Brilliant! Spectacular! And so is the rest of the cast, it made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me cheer, it made me THINK! it was the best thing I have seen in years!
And of course it helped that the star's mom is engaged to my dad! Heeheee, half price tickets!
That show finishes on March 14th, I'm looking forward to his next show.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
I mentioned going to a different small group. I Hope to have more assembly bookings to deal with. I have a meeting with the rest of the local team for Operation Christmas Child on Friday afternoon, and Dan Slade is coming to our church for a meeting on Saturday evening, it should be good!
Here is picture thought (or maybe 4) I am sharing...
